These monthly experimental statistics include the total number of people:

  • who have made a claim for Universal Credit
  • who have made a claim and have attended an initial interview, accepted their claimant commitment, and gone on to start Universal Credit
  • who are on Universal Credit

The statistics are broken down by:

  • Jobcentre Plus office
  • age
  • employment status
  • conditionality regime

  1. Published a revised version of the 'Universal Credit: 29 April 2013 to 14 September 2017' PDF. The reference to August’s ‘in employment’ percentage on page 6 has been changed. We originally quoted the provisional figure (39 per cent) from last month's publication instead of the revised figure (38 per cent) from this month’s publication. The data tables are not affected.
