Details

On 6 February 2019, Defra published crop areas for England sourced from the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) alongside areas from the Defra June Survey of Agriculture. It was noted that, for some crops, the areas from the two data sources showed a greater divergence in 2018 than in previous years. This report documents the subsequent investigations and findings.
