This statistical release provides information on the numbers of people with progressive diseases claiming Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). It gives further information on the outcome of assessments provided in Freedom of Information request 3129/2014, using data to the end of February 2015. Outcomes are broken down by the following conditions:

  • cystic fibrosis
  • spinal muscular atrophy
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • multiple sclerosis
  • other rheumatoid arthritis
