Details

The figures are based on HM Revenue & Customs’ (HMRC) Stamp Duty Land Tax database, which records the information submitted by property purchasers on the Land Transaction Return. Transactions are assigned to a year on the basis of the date of completion, which is in line with HMRC’s monthly property transaction tables.
