Total number of referrals made to the Insolvency Service from Companies House, April 2018 to March 2025

The information shows the total number of criminal referrals from Companies House (CH) separated into three categories:

  • The number of referrals (of unique subjects) for Person with significant control (PSC) matters, PSC refers to the prosecution regime under the Companies Act 2006 for people with significant control.

  • The number for non PSC matters such as offences relating to the re-use of prohibited company names

  • The number of Companies House reform referrals arising out of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.
