Imports of essential bicycle parts, originating in the People’s Republic of China (Anti-Dumping Duty 2312)

The Commission has notified UK customs that it has accepted that anti-dumping duty on imports of essential bicycle parts, should be suspended during the examination of the assembly operations by Frog Bikes Manufacturing Ltd (FBML). The examination will determine whether the company meets the criteria for exemption from anti-dumping duty imposed by regulation no. 88/97 on imports of essential bicycle parts, originating in the People’s Republic of China.

This suspension takes effect from 7 January 2019.

Imports will be subject to registration by UK Customs authorities.

Should the company fail to meet the criteria, anti-dumping duty will be collected retrospectively from 7 January 2019.

CHIEF was updated at 11:25 on 15 January 2019. Post clearance action may be necessary. The printed Tariff will be updated in the March amendments.
