Details

Various research has been undertaken to investigate whether the energy savings from insulation measures, as predicted by theoretical models, are realised in practice. A consolidation of this research has concluded homes receiving insulation measures do not benefit from a significant proportion of the expected energy savings. This has resulted in the application of a Reduction Factor of 50% to the energy savings expected when installing such measures in domestic homes.
