This guidance should be read alongside the statutory guidance on induction for early career teachers (ECTs).
These documents are for the following appropriate bodies:
- teaching school hubs
- other organisations that the Secretary of State for Education has determined can act in this role
They outline:
- the statutory roles and responsibilities of appropriate bodies
- an appropriate body’s role in checking that the induction is based on either the:
- early career framework (ECF) for ECTs starting induction before 1 September 2025
- initial teacher training and early career framework (ITTECF) for ECTs starting induction from 1 September 2025
- good practice appropriate bodies can follow
