Details

The Northern Ireland Trader Support Service (TSS) Programme is part of HMRC’s work to implement the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland (the ‘Northern Ireland Protocol’), which became UK law under the EU Withdrawal Agreement Act 2020.

The TSS is a free-to-use service that supports traders in meeting administrative obligations under the Northern Ireland Protocol.

This programme is vital to businesses, with the majority of goods movements between Northern Ireland and Great Britain being supported by the TSS. The government is therefore extending the TSS for a further 12 months until 31 December 2023.

The Accounting Officer assessed that the programme is value for money and deliverable.
