In March 2021, HMRC’s Accounting Officer undertook a review of the Protect Connect Programme.

This programme supports HMRC’s tax compliance work, updating parts of the department’s data matching system, Connect, with industry-leading data analytics technology

The Accounting Officer concluded that programme is value for money and deliverable.
