In October 2021, HMRC’s Accounting Officer undertook a review of the Customs Declaration Service Northern Ireland Programme.

This programme was established to deliver functional and non-functional changes necessary for the Customs Declaration Service to comply with the Northern Ireland Protocol (NIP).

The Accounting Officer concluded that the programme is value for money and deliverable.
