Details

Following a positive recommendation from the Sustainable Development Commission, a 2-year cross-government feasibility study was launched to inform a decision whether or not to promote a scheme to generate electricity from the tides of the Severn estuary. The study has looked at 5 potentially feasible scheme options in outline and assessed their costs, benefits and risks.
