William Gelling OBE
Biography
Will joined the NIO as a Director in July 2022 with responsibility for political strategy and engagement with the Northern Ireland Executive, political parties, civic society, as well as with the Irish Government and the US Administration. Will leads our work on governance as we seek to ensure that the Devolved Institutions get up and running again after the Assembly elections.
Will served as a diplomat in the FCDO and more recently from serving two Prime Ministers in Number 10, covering the full range of international issues and Northern Ireland.
