Tracy Murray
Biography
Tracy joined NRS in November 2023 as General Counsel, moving from NDA where she was Head of Legal and Deputy General Counsel since 2021.
Tracy studied in Scotland and is dual qualified as a lawyer in both Scotland and England / Wales. She originally trained as an environment and safety lawyer working in private practice law firms In Glasgow and Manchester, and then joined the NDA group as an inhouse lawyer initially at Sellafield in 2009 and the NDA in 2019. Tracy has a broad regulatory and commercial legal background and a deep level of experience of working in an operating nuclear company.
Tracy heads up the General Counsel Function at NRS which comprises the Legal Team, the Ethics & Compliance Team (which amongst other things manages NRS’ approach to Speak Up), and the Corporate Governance Team. The General Counsel is responsible advising on and ensuring the appropriate management of legal risk arising from NRS’ activities and operations on behalf of the Executive and the Board.
