Toby Nerval
Biography
Toby was appointed permanent Chief Finance and People Officer in August 2023. Prior to that he was the interim Chief Corporate Services Officer for 10 months and prior to that Director of Finance and Business Planning in the VOA for four years.
Toby is responsible for the Agency’s overall financial position, business planning, performance reporting, commercial oversight of non-IT contracts, governance, risk and HR and estates.
Toby began his civil service career 24 years ago and prior to working in the VOA has worked in the Home Office, Department for Culture Media and Sport, and the Department for Communities and Local Government. He has worked in roles on project management, policy development and sponsorship, before transferring to the finance function where he has worked for the last 17 years.
