Duncan Worsell MBE
Biography
Duncan Worsell joined the Civil Nuclear Constabulary in June 1992, prior to which he served in the Royal Navy.
During his policing career in the Civil Nuclear Constabulary Duncan has undertaken the full range of operational roles as an Authorised Firearms Officer including international maritime escorts, dynamic search, as a nationally accredited firearms instructor, and has been a firearms commander at all levels.
He has held command roles across all operational disciplines and was promoted to Chief Superintendent in 2013 and he served as Divisional Commander for N Division operations.
From March 2019 until March 2020 he was appointed as Temporary Assistant Chief Constable (Operations), and from March 2020 he served as Divisional Commander for the Capability and Change Division, before becoming T/ACC for Corporate Services on 7 April 2021.
In March 2024 he was appointed as a non–executive director of the Security Industry Authority.
