Non-Executive Director appointed to Gov Facility Services Limited

The Secretary of State has approved the appointment of a Non-Executive Director with human resources experience to the Gov Facility Services Limited.

The Secretary of State has approved the appointment, for 3 years commencing 24 May 2021, Ian Deninson as a Non-Executive Director (NED) of the Gov Facility Services Limited (GFSL).

GFSL is part of the Ministry of Justice, set up in February 2018 as a limited, not for profit company. Its role is to provide facilities management services to prisons in the south of England.

The Secretary of State appoints GFSL Directors as set out in GFSL’s Articles of Association and Framework Document.

Appointments to the GFSL are not regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. However, the recruitment process aligned with the provisions of the Governance Code on Public Appointments.

Biography

Mr Deninson is an experienced NED and chief people officer; he is currently a NED and Chairman of Investors in People. He has worked as a senior executive across a range of industries and sectors both internationally and in the UK and has held additional executive responsibilities for communications, health and safety, corporate social responsibility and shared services. A previous chairman of the Carlsberg UK Pension Fund, Mr Deninson also served as a NED on public sector projects at GEOamey and MTCnovo.
