Consultation description

The aim of this consultation is to inform the government’s proposed regulations to support the introduction of administrative liability orders.

This document includes:

  • information on the Child Support (Enforcement) Act 2023 and rationale for the introduction of administrative liability orders
  • a set of policy consultation questions on proposed regulations relating to administrative liability orders and in particular, the procedure for dealing with the appeals process

This consultation is open to voluntary and community sector organisations, as well as Child Maintenance Service customers and members of the general public.

This consultation applies to England, Wales and Scotland, although we welcome comments from across the United Kingdom.
