Enterprise Investment Scheme, Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme and Social Investment Tax Relief statistics
Statistics relating to the Enterprise Investment Scheme, Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme and Social Investment Tax Relief scheme.
These publications provide information about the number of companies receiving investment under the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS), along with the amount of funds raised. The number of social enterprises receiving investment under the Social Investment Tax Relief (SITR) scheme is also included.
The statistics for the EIS and SEIS include breakdowns by industry sector, companies’ registered addresses and the size of investment. It also provides information on the number of investors and the amounts invested, as reported on investors’ Self Assessment tax returns. Statistics on advance assurance requests (AAR) for the EIS, SEIS and SITR are also provided. The May 2018 release includes all the tables that were previously spread across the April and October publications.
The most recent release of these statistics was published in May 2024. The 2023 release is available on GOV.UK. Previous versions of statistics releases from 2022 and prior are available on the National Archives website.
