Disabled people’s rights: UK's initial report and responses to periodic reviews

UK's initial report on the rights of disabled people under the requirements of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its responses to periodic reviews.

The UK ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in July 2009. The government wants disabled people to fulfil their potential and play a full role in society.

The convention required the government to publish its initial report on the rights of disabled people in November 2011.

The government has continued to publish updates and responses to periodic reviews and recommendations made by the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
